Frequently asked questions
GENERAL
PATCH TESTING
We ask that you kindly arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled treatment time. If you are running late, please let us know by calling or WhatsApp!
We are a busy salon and we cannot allow a late running treatment to impact another guest. If you run late for your appointment, your treatment may have to be shortened. Which means less lashes or reduced service.
We want to ensure we provide a high quality service to all clients, and want you to have the best, arrivals more than 10 minutes after the scheduled booking time may result in the appointment being cancelled and a cancellation fee will be applied.
Q: Is it safe to have lash and brow services while I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! We welcome pregnant women to enjoy our lash and brow services. We understand that pregnancy can bring changes to your body and sensitivity levels, and we’re here to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. We have cared for lots of pregnant women over the years. We will have you looking your best for the all important meeting your baby and the first photo! Be advised to tell us as soon as you are pregnant so we can make the necessary changes to you appointment.
IMPORTANT: We will not do a lash or brow treatment without patch testing you first. This is only for lifting, tinting, dyes and lash adhesives. for the following reasons.
Q: How might my sensitivity levels change during pregnancy?
During pregnancy, hormonal changes can heighten skin sensitivity and affect how your body reacts to cosmetic products. Some women may find they have increased sensitivity to the dyes used in tinting or the adhesives used in lash extensions. To address this, we insist on a patch test 24 or 48 hours prior to your appointment to ensure you don’t have any adverse reactions.
• lash adhesive 24 hours
• lamination and lifting product 48 hours before
• any brow or lash Tint or Dye 48 hours
WE DO NOT OFFER DISCLAIMERS DURING THIS TIME!!
Q: What should I expect during the appointment?
Our team is trained to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment tailored to your needs. We prioritise your comfort, so please don’t hesitate to let us know if you feel any discomfort or need to adjust your position during the service. We want to make sure you feel pampered and cared for! Our luxury massage chairs offer a new lash comfort you will be so happy for.
Q: Are there any specific precautions I should take?
While our products are of a high quality, it’s always good to consult your healthcare provider before undergoing any beauty treatments during pregnancy. We also suggest avoiding any scent-sensitive areas or allowing for breaks during the appointment if you feel overwhelmed.
Q: Can I still achieve the look I want?
Certainly! there are a few things to consider, and here is a more detailed look at how pregnancy can affect lash and brow services, including some scientific explanations behind the changes:
Hormonal Changes
During pregnancy, the body undergoes significant hormonal shifts, and they can have various effects on the body
Hair Growth: Increased estrogen may lead to a temporary phase of hair growth (Anagen phase) for some women. This could result in faster growth of lashes and brows. meaning more regular appointments.
Pigmentation Changes: Hormonal changes can also affect melanin production, leading to changes in the color of lashes and brows, which might influence the final outcome of tinting services.
Increased Sensitivity: The skin often becomes more sensitive during pregnancy due to increased blood flow and hormonal changes affecting skin elasticity and sensitivity. our therapists will do their best to make you feel comfortable.
Effects on Services: Product Reactions: This heightened sensitivity can lead to a greater likelihood of adverse reactions to dyes, adhesives, or other products used during lash and brow services. For example, a client who previously had no issues may experience redness or irritation from standard products.

What’s a patch test and why do I need one?
A patch test is a quick and simple test we do to check for any allergic reactions to the products we use. This is super important for your safety and comfort. We recommend a patch test at least 48 hours before your lash appointment. we will not proceed without one.
