HD Brows Aftercare
For your bespoke HD Brows treatment
Your HD Brows treatment has been completely tailored to your face, colouring and natural brow growth.
A little care at home will help keep your brows looking fresh, defined and beautifully conditioned for as long as possible.
First 24β48 Hours
Please avoid:
π ββοΈ Touching or rubbing your brows
Avoid excessive touching or rubbing of the treated area for the first 24 hours. Your skin may be slightly more sensitive following waxing or threading.
π Heavy make-up around the brows
Try not to apply additional heavy foundation, concealer or make-up directly over the treated skin for 24 hours. Freshly treated follicles can be more prone to congestion and little bumps.
βοΈ Direct sunlight & sunbeds
Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure and sunbeds for 48 hours following your treatment.
π₯ Steam & excessive heat
No saunas or steam rooms for 48 hours.
πββοΈ Swimming
Avoid swimming pools for 48 hours while the skin around the brows settles.
Yes β you can get your brows wet
π§ You do not need to keep standard HD Brows completely dry.
Showering and gently washing your face are fine after your treatment.
For the first 48 hours, however, avoid prolonged heat and moisture such as:
β Saunas
β Steam rooms
β Swimming pools
β Long, very hot baths
Be gentle with the brow area and pat rather than rub.
Skincare β this is important
𧴠The skin around your brows can be more sensitive after waxing and threading.
For 3 days after your treatment, avoid using the following directly around the brow area:
β Retinol / retinoids
β Glycolic acid
β Salicylic acid and other exfoliating acids
β AHA or BHA products
β Facial scrubs
β Peels
β Strong anti-ageing or resurfacing skincare
Ideally, these products should also be avoided around the brow area for 3 days before your HD Brows appointment.
Once the skin has settled, you can gradually return to your normal skincare routine.
Fake tan
π« Avoid fake tan on the face for 3 days before and 3 days after your HD Brows treatment.
This includes:
β Spray tans
β Self-tanning products
β Gradual tanning moisturisers
β Tanning drops mixed into skincare
Fake tan can interact with fresh brow tint and alter the colour.
Waxing can also remove fake tan from the skin, leaving a lighter area around your brows.
Whatβs normal after your treatment?
β¨ Slight redness after waxing or threading is normal.
β¨ The skin may feel a little sensitive for a short time.
β¨ Your brows may look darker and more defined immediately after treatment.
β¨ Your tint will gradually soften and settle.
β¨ Your stylist may have used brow make-up to show you your finished shape or fill areas that are still growing.
Redness should normally settle over the course of the day.
Looking after your brow colour
π¨ Your professional brow tint will gradually fade as the weeks pass.
To keep your colour looking its best:
β Cleanse gently around the brows
β Avoid excessive exfoliation directly over the brow hairs
β Follow your recommended brow-care routine
β Use a professional brow conditioner regularly
Strong exfoliating and anti-ageing products used repeatedly over the brows can cause tint to fade more quickly.
Brow conditioner
β¨ Condition your brows daily.
Just like the hair on your head, your brow hairs benefit from being kept healthy and conditioned.
Using a professional brow conditioner can help:
keep brow hairs soft and healthy
condition dry or damaged hairs
maintain the appearance of your tint
keep your brows looking groomed between appointments
We can recommend the correct HD Brows aftercare product for your individual brows.
Don't pluck between appointments
π« Please resist the tweezers!
You may notice the occasional stray hair appearing as your brows grow.
However, your HD Brows stylist is working towards a carefully planned shape. Removing even a few hairs in the wrong area can interfere with that shape β particularly if you are on a brow regrowth journey.
If in doubt, leave it for us.
Your stylist will remove the right hairs at your next appointment while protecting the hairs we want to encourage to grow.
Growing your brows?
π± If your stylist has recommended a brow regrowth programme, following your plan at home is particularly important.
β Leave new growth alone
β Don't tweeze the strays
β Use the recommended brow-conditioning or growth products
β Follow your stylist's skincare advice
β Attend your recommended appointments
β Take progress photographs if advised
Brow growth takes time. Those awkward little hairs may be exactly the ones we need to create your future shape.
How long will my HD Brows last?
π Your HD Brows results will usually last around 4β6 weeks, depending on:
your natural hair-growth cycle
your skin type
your skincare routine
how quickly your tint naturally fades
your individual brow-growth plan
Your stylist will recommend the best time for your next appointment.
